Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has backed Carlos Tevez to be a success at Juventus.
The Argentinia international completed a €12million move to the Serie A champions on Wednesday, bringing an end to his four-year stay at the Etihad Stadium.
Mancini had a famous falling out with the former Manchester United striker during a UEFA Champions League fixture against Bayern Munich in September 2011, when Tevez allegedly refused to enter the game as a substitute.
But the Italian is convinced the Argentina international will improve the Juventus squad, especially in European competition.
Tevez knows how to make a difference, maybe not everyone realises the value of the player: we are not (just) talking about a good striker but of a champion, his arrival will make the Bianconeri stronger, even outside Italy, Mancini is quoted as saying in Tuttosport.
On Tevez being handed the famous number 10 shirt at the club, Mancini added: It is normal for someone like him to wear the (number) 10 (worn by Alessandro) Del Piero. I do not think it is strange they gave him such a prestigious jersey.
Juventus secured back-to-back Serie A titles last season but are looking for improvement in the Champions League after suffering a disappointing 4-0 aggregate victory to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
