Harry Redknapp has criticised Tottenham s transfer dealings since he departed the club, describing their recruits as a disaster .

Redknapp left White Hart Lane at the end of the 2011-12 season and eventually took over at QPR, whom he resigned from in February citing his upcoming knee surgery as the reason behind his decision.

Since his exit, Spurs have finished fifth, sixth and fifth in the Premier League, failing to return to the UEFA Champions League, which Redknapp led them to in 2009-10.

The Reds boss missed the 2-2 Premier League draw with Chelsea last weekend after testing positive for COVID-19.

Teenager Elliot Anderson has signed a new long-term contract at Newcastle United after breaking into the first team under Eddie Howe. 

The 19-year-old – who has represented both England and Scotland at youth level – made his Premier League debut in January 2021 as a substitute against Arsenal.
