The midfielder joined the Eagles in the summer of 2017, having spent his entire career up to that point at Ajax. Since then, he has gone on to make a total of 56 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League club, scoring twice. His preferred position is directly ahead of the back line, but he can also do well further up or on the right flank. His place in the starting XI under Roy Hodgson is still far from nailed on, given that he has started only seven of his 18 Premier League appearances this term, but at the age of 24, there is obviously still time for him to work hard and impose himself.
Riedewald has so far player three times as a senior Netherlands international, having represented his country regularly at every youth level before.
